So the time is quickly approaching for alterations to begin and I still haven’t found shoes! I don’t do well in a heel above 3 inches and I’m having a garden wedding with no aisle runner. Are wedges my only option?
In the meantime, I’ve fallen in love with these two beauties but I don’t think they will work. What are you ladies wearing???

are you walking on grass or concrete or what?
I think either way, any shoe would be fine. I’m wearing flats only because my dress is just barely long enough (I’m 5’7) and i didn’t want to do extra length & extra alterations. I’ll be walking on gravel (I was a bit nervous! until i realized it’s well compacted) and concrete for the ceremony. But I’m sure my BM’s will have heals.

I’m walking on grass all the way and it’s a little of a walk before I get to the aisle. I think I might have to start checking out some cute flats…

They sell these little things called heel protectors that at supposed to prevent your heels from sinking into the grass: http://www.thesolemates.com/?gclid=CNLYpNTSoqECFQENDQodAja3zA. I’ve never used them but I would imagine they work!

I’m doing grass also and I’m going to get the heel protectors or the heel caps. I did see some for $4 and will try those out first, once I figure out which shoe I’m wearing.
Just ordered more last night so I can get the dress altered. 🙂 but ya, try the heel protectors. . It’s not a long walk and we can do this. I’m also having the aisle runner just because it’s pretty and I like it. It may not be necessary but I love the idea me walking on it after the flower girls…
My h2b vetoed wedges. so, I’ll just walk slow.

I’m walking on grass, but it isn’t that far, so I figure I’ll just keep my weight on the balls of my feet and I’ll be fine. I thought I would go with colorful shoes or something more fun, but in the end I picked something a little more traditional because they echo some elements of my dress well. Here they are:

My entire wedding is outside. The ceremony has a sandy path and the reception is oon the grass with a tiled dance floor. I’m wearing the heals I fell in love with for the ceremony but then I am changing to flats for the remainder of the dinner/dancing.

My ceremony is on a lawn and my reception is in a brick courtyard, so I’m wearing low heels.

Here are mine, Touch Ups Shala:
I’m going to dress them up with pretty shoe clips since they’re a bit more plain than I wanted. I ordered several different pairs similar to this from Zappos, but these are so comfy and the perfect height for me.

One day, I may be able to figure out how to properly upload a file or us an HTML.
I will be doing a little walking and I will be on gravel and grass.
