@MissBethany5:  are you saying there is nowhere for rain coverage?

my wedding is outdoors with a tent.  If it rains, the bathroom is nome under the tent. I have flashes of omg, it will be so awful if it rains! But, I will get very large umbrellas and hope for the best.  Sometimes I do wish I had picked something indoors, but all my life I wanted a garden wedding and now I’m getting one!

@MissBethany5:  My wedding is outdoors and I figure we will just plan ahead. If it looks like rain we till rent a tent 🙂

Yeah, just rent a tent.  It’s nice to have a place to get out of the sun anyway, and it’s a good rain backup.  (That’s what we did – I was kinda freaking out because the forecast was calling for rain but we didn’t have any in the end.)

But, we don’t usually have really rainy days here in the summer.  If it consistently rains in your area in August, you might want to go with a different option.

We are getting married in a farm 🙂 there’s a chance it could rain but we are calling the decision a week before and if we the resist likely we have a marquee company on standby ito erect a quick shelter. Totally worth it for the views and the fact it totally suits us xx

I agree with the PPs, you definitely need a tent if there isn’t a barn or somewhere for rain coverage. Odds are you won’t need it if it’s the summer, but depending on the time of day your older or less healthy guest might also really appreciate the shade.

@MissBethany5:  You always have to have a plan B when marrying outside. Always. For us, it is winter so while it can’t rain (but snow would be fun), we made sure with the venue that if the weather was really extremely freezing, that the morning of the wedding they would arrange for us to get married inside. That’s the kind of thing you have to think about.
