How much time will be between the ceremony and the reception?  What time of day will it be?  My first thought is cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.  Or, do the guests need to leave the area so the staff can set up tables and chairs?

We’re doing cocktails and hors d’oeurves after the ceremony, while Fiance and I go take a few pictures.

A fruitplate will work.  So will water, lemonade and/or iced tea.  I’m assuming you don’t want to do cocktails because alcohol is expensive.  If you can swing it maybe have veggies and dip as well or maybe cheese and crackers.  I don’t know if the sweet fruit goes well with the sweet beverages.  (I just may be imposing my personal preference here – sorry : )  Maybe you can find a way to have some background music softly playing during this time – to set the mood for a meet and greet/cocktail party type of atmosphere.
