We chose June 15th 2013 one June 8th 2012.  It was absolutely gordeous that day, High 70’s, very light breeze.  The following week, June 15th was 95 degrees!!!  The next week, it rained!!  I have NO idea what will happen.  We have a large tent on hold which costs about $1,200.  We can cancel the hold by the Wednesday before the wedding.  I really hope we don’t need it, that changes our budget significantly.  Not te mention we chose this venue based on the beautiful open look & the tent will change the feel…  I just keep praying for sunshine.  And to be honest, I’d rather have it be in the 90’s than raining!!  We’ll have shady areas for people & I’m more concerned about good weather into the night so people want to stay & dance 😉

Good luck everyone!! We should do an update afterwards!

I am crossing my fingers for an outdoor wedding ceremony! If the weather was bad, we could have it inside the venue, or on their tiny covered porch, but it would be so squished! We also are hoping for a mostly outdoor reception with lawn games… It would be a huge damper if it rained!

Additionally, I am planning on having an outdoor rehearsal dinner. (Am I crazy?!) For the Rehearsal Dinner, we are on a tiny budget. The only thing I could come up (sadly, our venue is a little too far to have at anyone’s house) with was to rent a nice covered picnic pavillion in a local park. If the weather is somewhat okay, it should be fabulous, but I don’t really have a plan b- but hey, atleast it is covered.

@missmorganista:  The Farmer’s Almanac is such a great resource! When I was a kid, I loved looking at them in stores to see the forecast for snow for the upcoming winter.

Outdoors on a beach in Key Largo.  No backup plan yet, but everytime we’ve ever traveled to Florida together there’s either been a weather “event” here (Maine) or there So i expect something to happen.  It’ll be an early hurricane season or something 😉

CA in June is usually pretty warm if not HOT.  Our venue does have a rain plan just in case.

I am doing an outdoor garden wedding with an indoor reception. We have a rain plan, and i would be a little bummed if we did not get to get married outside, but that is life in FL for you!

I’m a June 8, NC bride as well! We are getting married at a Winery outdoors with a covered pavilion. So the top will be covered with fans but everything else open to the elements. Weather is a big concern of mine too. With living in NC most of my life when June rolls around you can never really predict what kind of weather we will have around here. It seems to change from one day to the next! Could be really hot or cool, rain who knows! Our ceremony won’t begin until 5:30 and reception will be indoors, but people will be able to go in and out as they please. We’re just hoping for the best, I guess there’s not really much u can do except make the best out of whatever situation occurs. Good luck!!!

Ours will be outdoors at a golf course with an INCREDIBLE background view. But it’s Colorado, and it rarely, rarely rains…in fact, our wedding director told us in 10 years, they have had one wedding that had inclement weather, and had to move it indoors. Our place also has an indoor option (in a room filled with windows and the same view) so should be fine. I’m sure you will all have BEAUTIFUL weddings!

Fellow risk taker! We’re having an outdoor ceremony by the water at a national park ( with a pavillion in case it rains) and an indoor reception not far. Definitely praying for no rain but out of my hands.
