I came across this blog which shows how one couple did outdoor candlelighting for their wedding. http://www.curranphotography.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=81:wedding-at-the-bates-mansion-at-brook-farm-vermont-august-7-2010&catid=40:weddings-photographed-by-dennis-and-ellen&Itemid=153
I think it looks really cool, but I don’t want that type of lighting is called. I searched for candle stakes and candle lanterns and nothing shows up. Anyone have any idea what they are called?

Those are definetley hanging lanterns, probably candle holders, although I’ve seen some paper LED-light ones.
I think this one looks like the ones in the picture, if not there are a lot of options in this site. Hope it helps.

@Coffee cup:I see! So you think they just bought the stake to hold the lantern separately?

You can see in the daylight picture that they are glass lanterns on shepherd’s hooks.
