- Wedding: September 2013
Im getting married this coming fall at a friend’s farm. Were having a tent, and trying to decide what to do about flooring.
It will be in a hayfield, with the hay mowed down where the tent and walkway will be. My mother really wants to have flooring under the entire tent, both to protect people’s footwear and because of weather. Im happy just telling people to dress appropriately for an outdoor wedding.
But she also mentioned that if it starts downpouring, the ground will become muddy under the tent even if we have the sides rolled down. is this true? i do not want guests to be walking around in mud. But there is also a barn on the property we can use if the weather becomes that awful.
thoughts on this issue? i dont want flooring and i dont know if i believe the mud thing. Does anyone have any experience with this? been to or had an outdoor wedding where it rained? was it as muddy as my mother is telling me it would be without a floor?
thanks so much!!
