I’m looking into doing the same thing. I don’t know where in GA you’re going, but there’s plenty of waterfalls, lakes, etc. But you have to narrow GA down, since it’s about a 3-4 drive to anywhere from the center of the state.

Start with the state parks website. There’s also some nice vinyards. Choutta falls is pretty, too.

I’m getting married at Southern Tree Plantation in the Blue Ridge Mountains in north Georgia. It’s BEAUTIFUL!  And it’s also completely affordable.  The website for the place is atrocious, so I think that’s why some people cross it off their list. But the coordinator, Andrea, is great, and I’ve heard nothing but great things from brides who’ve been married there.

There are also several waterfall venues in the area.  Google Blue Ridge Wedding, and you’ll probably find something 🙂

I’m wondering if Brasstown Valley might work? It’s in Young Harris, GA and I haven’t been in years, but I remember it being gorgeous. Or something in the Pine Mountain area, maybe Callway Gardens?

I just saw this and I am not sure if you are still looking but I am getting married on October 13 in northern Georgia in this beautiful resort called the Ridges. If you are still looking you should check it out. http://www.ridgesresort.com

Good luck

Linville Falls?  Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, Asheville?

I need to work on my geography, those are all in NC.  Undecided
