Our wedding is from 1-6 PM. We plan on having an outdoor ceremony at 1 PM followed by an indoor/outdoor reception. The outside deck (overlooking the lake) will be for dancing, drinks, and mingling while the inside will be where the actual dining and the tables and chairs will be. I checked the weather almanac and it says that last year it was min 48 F and max 75 F (mean 52 F).
Would this be too cold for the guests? If our budget allows we are planning on renting one or two of those outdoor heaters to place on the deck.

Those heaters are really amazing. I went to an outdoor engagement party in March in the snow and those things helped sooo sooo much!! You could probably find some pashmina’s for cheap online or scarves for people to wrap around themselves till the dancing picked up… then people will warm up pretty fast.

@HisIrishPrincess: +1 for the pashmenas. here in NYC we found the wearhouse in Flushing, Queens where the vendors get them and we got a box of them, like over 30!

@HisIrishPrincess: That is a great idea! Do you have any idea where I could find pashminas in bulk?

If it’s indoor/outdoor, I think it would be fine! Heaters on the deck would be perfect. I’ve seen some weddings that had small blankets for guests in case they got cold too. I know I would love sitting on a deck overlooking a lake wrapped up in a blanket.
