I wanted an outdoor wedding as well; but you have to have a back up plan.

We found a venue with a beautiful outdoors, and a pretty indoor space with enough space indoors to accomidate our guests just in case. It is important to have a rain plan, because of course, you never know! And you don’t want to be freaking out if you don’t have  a back up.

I will also add, that I eliminated several venues with gorgeous outdoors based on the fact that in case of rain, their indoors wouldn’t be big enough to accomidate my guests.

Thankfully I got to have my dream wedding all outdoors, but i did feel better days leading up knowing that if it did rain, i had a plan 🙂

We’re getting married tomorrow, and our original plan was an outdoor wedding in the private garden at the B&B we’re staying at.  However, it has been raining here for a couple of days, and tomorrow morning it is supposed to rain also. I don’t want to walk through mud, so we’ve moved the ceremony and will be getting married in their parlor.

You HAVE to have a backup.  Don’t be a “we’re getting married outside even if there’s a HURRICANE dammit!!” bride, you’ll just end up stressing everyone (including yourself) out.  Make sure your venue can accomodate all of your guests inside if need be.

I’m getting married in April so we decided to not even chance it and just have the ceremony inside.

yep, you HAVE to have a backup. either move indoors or rent a clear tent with sides.
