I don’t even know what you would call this project, but here goes.
I’m getting married April 22nd 2011, and my parents have a huge country “lodge” house with this huge back yard/field.
(http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/hs483.ash2/75670_1670437330861_1535207680_1574141_1145914_n.jpg) This is the picture of the field.
I know EXACTLY what I want to build out there, but I have NO idea just how to do it.
Here’s some pictures of what I’m thinking, do you have any suggestions on where to find old windows and doors, and how I could pull this off?

I’m sorry I have no help for you, but just HAD to tell you that that is gorgeous. Great idea. That 1st pic of the door to the aisle is breathtaking

This is gorgeous!
I’m not certain where you live, but in my area (SF Bay, CA) there are quite a few salvage stores where you can get old pieces of houses for not a ton. Try to find some in your area, maybe? Or barn sales?
The wood could be done with new 2x4s – just hammer them up a bit, rub on some stain and you’re good to go with a rustic look!
Good luck!

Love the idea.
You could post an add on Craigslist for old windows or wood. An old wood fence would be perfect for the wood slats.
Windows look at salvage yards or stores.
Check the Habitat Rehab store. People donate building supplies to the store, you can always find windows there.

Ahhhhh! I saw this about a year ago when I first started looking at wedding stuff. GORGEOUS! I’m having my dad build some similar things, but he’s a woodworker so that helps.
I agree with Asparagus completely as to where to get the supplies, she had some great suggestions.
