- Wedding: July 2012
We’re getting married next July and weather permitting, the ceremony will be outside. We have two options for the ceremony – one in the wedding garden, which would be on grass and one on a deck overlooking a golf course. We’re not sure which yet – Fiance likes deck but it’s not wheelchair accessible so it would depend on the guest list.
Anywho, I’m looking at dresses now and I was planning on only looking at floor length gowns, gowns with sweep trains and gowns with chapel trains but now I’m worrying that might be limiting my selections too much. I don’t like the length of the cathedral train or longer because that just looks like too much to me. But I’m wondering if I shouldn’t be considering semi-cathedral as well. They don’t seem all that much longer than chapel trains and a lot of the dresses I have seen are semi-cathedral. I have an appointment at AA this weekend and on the website it seems like 25-50% of their gowns are semi-cathedral trains.
Thoughts? Is a semi-cathedral train too much for an outdoor wedding? I’m not real fussed about the bottom getting dirty or anything.
