(Closed) Outer envelopes??

I think they are unnecessary, but if you decide to do it and the envelopes have already been addressed, it’s fine. But save your money! Both envelopes will end up in the trash. 🙁 I even keep wedding invitations I receive, but not envelopes.

If you hand stamp them at the post office, they’re more likely to arrive in better condition too (then they don’t need to “cancel” the stamp through their machine).  We’re not doing outter envelopes and I’ve sent myself a test envelope and it arrived just fine (I hand cancelled the stamp at the post office).

I work daily with my post office for my job.  They just hand me the hand stamper and I go through them myself.  I’ve seen other people do this as well – standing at the end of the counter and hand cancelling each stamp.  If you have a few, they’ll do it for you – but if you have a lot, they’ll ask you to do it yourself.
