I haven’t had cramps this bad since I was 16!! It actually woke me up in the middle of the night!
Is this what I will be experiecing from now on or will my body sort itself out? I stopped my last pack of bcp exactly one week early.
Any similar experiences or advice???

I don’t have much to add, because I’ve been on BCP for a long time (started since I have horrid cramps) and I won’t be off them until a few years down the road. But I’m dreading having cramps back when we decide to have a family.
Good luck and go get a heating pad, those used to help me a lot.

Yes, I seriously miss my BCP (even though I’m excited to be TTC). This is my 3rd month off it and my cycles seem to have regulated, which is nice, but I forgot how emotional I get when I’m PMSing. Someone at work said something to me that wasn’t even a big deal, and I almost started to cry. Plus I’ve been getting insane headaches and was actually nauseous my first month off BCP when my period was due. I had cramps on BCP but they’ve definitely gotten more painful. tSo yeah, I’m with you. This month does seem to be a little better though so there is hope 🙂

@Pink Asawa: I recently came off mine. After about two months my body started working it’s way to normal. But man I’m with you my cramps are out of control. Brings me back to my high school days were it would bring me to tears.

@Pink Asawa: It was like this for me too but it gets better and better. I felt like a high schooler, and it was heavier, and longer and I had cramps, but now I feel a bit of symptoms on the first day and they’ve gotten a bit shorter. However, I,m less regular, and I do still feel more hormonal than on the pill (weird). I’m sure you know all the tips and tricks, but sure if you can find thermacare heating pads, you stick them on your belly under your clothes and they warm your inner workings for like 8 hours! It’s quite nice.
