Mine is a moissanite as well, and I LOVE it.

It’s 8×6 on my size 4 finger.

natalievel :  Thank you! Fiance went to a local jeweler he had used for gifts a couple times previously and who is a family friend. He knew exactly what I wanted in a ring so he specifically asked to see pave bands with settings that would allow my wedding band to sit flush. He then picked the diamond out separately and the jeweler “made” the ring. So yes, it was custom in a sense, but not designed from scratch. From what I’ve seen on these boards, it’s becoming more and more rare that guys just go out and are able to find and buy exactly what they want. Usually it’s a process.

Sorry in advance if this pic is massive. I’m still getting the hang of the Bee. Here is my .9 oval, size 5.

That is very exciting for you and your boyfriend! Enjoy the process – it’s such fun 🙂 When we did our shopping we ended up choosing Ritani, they have wonderful customer service and are very professional.

I wear a 6.5 (and I have short fingers on top of that!) My center stone is a 1.55 carat oval set in a 1.5mm comfort fit band, cathedral. Also, if you enlarge the picture you’ll see I have 8 claw prongs which is a little different. You don’t see as many ovals, so I’m rooting for them 😉

Thanks OP! Just wanted to add that I purposely had my set made to have a gap. Since I wanted a matching set I wanted there to be some separation. As you can see from the pic below there is a small bump at the base of my ring. so as long as your ring doesn’t have this or isn’t a low set basket setting you shouldn’t have a gap.

These are all so beautiful! I love ovals! There is a really great article on rare carat on buying an oval to avoid the bowtie. I thought I was going to be getting a beatiful custom oval ring but I made the mistake of getting my FH to buy it from Zhedora on Etsy. Not only was it hideous and took forever to get to me (almost a year alater and I still don’t have the matching band that was supposed to come with it) but it broke! If you’re thinking of getting a ring from Zhedora don’t believe her stellar reviews (she took too long sending mine so I couldn’t post one). Here’s what she sent me

I have a 1.5 CT moissanite.  Love the classic but unique shape of ovals.

Mine’s not a diamond, but it is an oval in a pave setting! It’s a 2.5 equivalent center stone on a size 8 finger.
