@totheislnds:  Hi! About a year ago, I started feeling a throbbing/pull in my right side, close to my hip. I also could feel it in my back. I waited for a few months before going in July to have an ultrasound. I have a big ‘ole cyst. Talk to your doctor about it and ask for an ultrasound. I now have cysts on both ovaries and am getting my birth control implant removed this coming Tuesday (cyst formation is a known side effect of this implant).

You can form cysts every cycle and they should form and then go away on their own. However, if they do not go away and keep getting bigger you might need help getting rid of them. They can be very painful. Sometimes my entire lower back and hips feel like someone is clinking on them with a hammer. I dont like to complain about pains, but this is something I could do without!

Feel free to PM me with any questions. I’ve had several ultrasounds and am completely ready for them to be gone!

It could be a cyst, or a ton of other things. I just found out I have a cyst, and I can say for myself my symptoms have been : VERY bad pain & nausea… I actually ended up in the ER because of the pain and nausea. I hope everything works out and you can get answers from your doctor 🙂
