We have both fabric oven mitts and potholders. They’re just random walmart ones. Nothing special.  We also have a pair of silicone ones that dh loves.  I think they’re starfrit.

@happilywaiting:  they really protect your hands from heat. We bring them camping as well for holding weenie roasting sticks so the fire doesnt get so hot and I’ve dunked my hand into hot water to fish out corn with no issue. But they’re not super flexible so I like the fabric ones for smaller pot handles and stuff, but they’re great for just pulling out a baking sheet or something.

My grandmother got me one like this because I would still feel the heat too much with the fabric ones and drop the tray lol.

They sell them all over the place, they are so much better for me than the fabric ones.

The silicon ones are awesome. I like that you can just wipe food off of them without having to wash them like fabric ones.

Also have an oven-glove one and it’s great as well. I like that one best because I feel like it stays on my hand without having to grip it on like a normal oven mit. But I have smaller hands, so oven mits tend to slip off me.

I have silicone Martha Stewart oven mitts and love them. They work great and they’re super easy to clean!

we have the martha stewart mini mitts and love them! they don’t cover the whole hand, so you still have to be careful, but we haven’t had any accidents yet 🙂

My favorite is one of the silicone ones. I got it at Walmart for $3, and it has little hexagon shapes throughout it that make it grippy! You can open jars with it & use it as a trivet too!

I LOVE my silicon oven mitts from Pampered Chef, althought I’m sure you can find them somewhere else for cheaper.

I’ve got both fabric ones and a couple Ove Gloves. Ove Gloves are nice because you have a more secure grip, but I don’t notice if they keep out any more heat than the fabric ones. But then again, I haven’t had a problem with fabric ones letting in too much heat
