Hi, Ladies πŸ™‚

I thought I would just check to see how everybody is doing…

I have been trying to eat a little healthier and have started taking some pre-natal vitamins. My doctor last year said it would be a good idea to start them actually before TTC.

Do you guys take them already?

Have a great holiday πŸ™‚

I would like to jump in here, too.

My story is that I have always wanted to be a mother, but I had to wait a VERY long time for God’s plan for marriage in my life to unfold. I had been engaged once previously when I was much younger, but I ended up breaking that engagement. I didn’t meet and marry my DH until we were both in our mid 40s.

My DH has four children from his first marriage, (two are adults, and two are teens), but we are still very open to the idea of God blessing us with a baby of our own together. At this point in my life, and with my medical history, if I do become pregnant, it definitely would be evidence of the hand of God at work in our lives.

I hope all of you who are trying to conceive are successful! πŸ™‚

@foreignbride:  I’ve been taking pre-natal vitamins since right after my wedding, just in case I were to conceive. I also am in the process of losing weight right now, since this is something I need to do anyway, and it would be even more necessary if I were to become pregnant.

Hi girls!  How are you all?  I’m sorry I’ve been MIA.  Not to be too personal, but my hubby and I had a really rough month emotionally.  We have put TTC on “hold” because our relationship wasn’t in good standings, so to speak.  It makes me really sad, but I know it’s best.

In the meantime, I have been semi-charting on FF and have had a really awkward cycle.  Typically, my cycles are 30 days (ranging from 24-36 since getting off of BCP’s in December).  I usually “O” around the 18th day (ranging from 15-23 days).  My luteal phase is typically 13 days in length (ranging from 12-14 days).  This month, I am not even sure if I “O’d”.  My temps were all over the place – up, down, up, down.  Because we weren’t planning to BD, I never used an OPK to “confirm”.  Strangely, this month, I spotted on CD 24 and started a very light period the next day.

What do you girls think?  Should I make an appt. to see my OB?  I’m really puzzled by this and concerned that something is wrong…or, maybe it was just stress of everything that DH and I have gone through.

Thanks for your help!!!

@melisslp:  hi.  i read your post and since it was your first month charting, the information given to you may not be accurate.  It usually takes a few months for FF to get accurate readings on you.  Plus the stress sounds it may have done some number on your system.  I would talk to your OB just because if you are TTC.  Always better to have a safe sound mind then wondering all the time.

@Mishy630:  Thanks so much for your input dear.  I’ve actually been charting since January, soon after going off of BCP’s.  So, the numbers that I shared in my post above are all from FF (the short cycle was my 1st off of BCP’s).  I’m guessing that the emotional stress probably did a number on my body.  I think I’ll follow your recommendation and make an appt. with my OB since we’ll be at the 6 month mark of TTC next month anyways.  Thanks again!!!

@melisslp:  Hello πŸ™‚

I think it is a good idea to have an appointment with your doctor πŸ˜‰

I have one next week! I am excited to talk to her about TTc but also a little scared to formally “start the process “…

@melisslp:  So sorry you have been going through a rough patch…TTC can only add to that at times.  If you feel you want to see the doctor, then go for it…it will put your mind at ease.  However, the stress you have been under can totally screw with your cycles and that is most likely the cause this cycle…just my two cents.

I hope you all are well and had a great weekend!

@melisslp:  I understand about taking a break.  I noticed that just going on our lil getaway w/, really helped me to chill and not be in super urgency mode.  Plus other life issues came up that required more of my time. Yes, I have my moments obsessing but I realize that I was putting my life on hold around IF.

It does sound like stress maybe the factor.  I “O” 3 days after my normal time and I was freaked out.  My AP reassured me everything is ok and sure enough, I O a couple of days later.  Defintiely make an appt w/ your OB.  Start any test w/ your OB and then make an appte w/ a RE.  @ the beginning of my process, I was working w/ both which really put my mind @ ease.

@foreignbride:  Good Luck on your appt.  Its scary @ first but it helps mentally and emotionally.  I knew a good decade I was infertile, so I knew that I had to see a specialist.  Athough it was devastating to hear every year, I’m glad my Gyn didn’t let the issue die.

@foreignbride:  Well, hello there!  Guess what?  I decided to call my OB today and have an appt. for next Wednesday.  I’m relieved because I can start the process of getting some answers as to whether or not my cycles are okay, if I’m ovulating, etc. etc.   ~  Keep me posted on how your appt. goes as well!  Maybe we can share what we’ve learned to help one another out!

@gingersnap25:  Hey there!  My hubby and I have gotten through our rough patch.  I’m sure that the emotional stress was definitely playing a number on my body.  Although, I’m still going to have things checked out in the very near future.  ~ How’ve you been?  I hope your “hiatus” was a good one!

@squeak35:  Hello!  I always appreciate your insight.  You always have a nice, calming effect.  If you didn’t read my comments to other posters above, I made an appt today to meet with my OB next week.   I haven’t been too stressed out about getting pregnant because DH and I are realistic about the age factor, etc.  We’ve also realized that there are some benefits of being without children (i.e. traveling the world).  ~  How are you doing?  Hanging in there?

How is everyone doing?  Anyone testing soon?  Good luck, ya’ll!!
