@Mrs.Jansen:  I believe most Drs suggest only 12 ozs of caffeinated drink a day.  If you are w/in that range it shouldn’t be an issue.  I have to have a cup of my peppermint tea everyday:)

Thank you ladies, I just have a cup in the morning during the week but on weekends since I get to sleep in, I dont really need it. haha Last night my hubby and I had our last bottle of wine and are stopping all drinking until we conceive.  After we do, he can drink if he wants but knowing him, he wont because he hates to drink alone. haha

@mrsJansen- don’t have anycaffeine around ovulation. It causes the Fallopian tubes from properly moving and can hinder the eggs from getting to the uterus. Science Daily had an articleabout it. Based On TCM caffeine is a stimulant and causes stress on the spleen or the kidney (can’t remember) which takes energy away from TTC. I slowly switched to green tea then finally  no caffeine over 6 months. It was tough, but our age I wanted to give 100% and. It have regrets. I started using wheatgrass and it gives me a nice little umph in the morning. Not as much as Starbucks, but for now it’s good enough. I really like Green Superfood on orange dreamicle. Good luck!

@Mrs.Jansen:  I’m glad you asked the question about caffeine.  I normally only have 1 soda per day, but will be cautious not to have one around ovulation.

@foreignbride:  How did your appt. go?

Well…I have my OB appt. tomorrow.  Not sure what to expect.  When I was in for my annual appt. in December, she told me to come back in 6 months if we weren’t pregnant.  I decided to print off all of my Fertility Friend charts.  Is there anything else I should bring?  What should I expect?  A bit anxious…in a good way!

@melisslp:  Good Luck today at your appointment!  My OB didn’t do any testing, so I can’t be much help to you as far as what to expect.  He just told me to take prenatals and gave me a referral to an RE if we weren’t pregnant in three months…which, we weren’t.  He did tell me to make sure I had sex on cycle days 8-15…which cracks me up for some reason, maybe because at that appointment I thought things were going to be so easy and that all I needed to do was to have sex on cycle days 8-15!  Keep us posted!!!

@gingersnap25:  Hey there!  My OB appt. went really well!  She is very agressive.  Got me started with some bloodwork today (on CD 10)…Prolactin, Testosterone, TSH, Thyroid, etc.   I’ll go back for more bloodwork around CD 22…Progresterone.  And again on my next cycle (if I’m not pregnant) around CD 3 for FSH.  Lastly, she wants for me to have an HSG x-ray on CD 9 to look at my tubes, etc.  My hubby will have to have a semen analysis soon, but she wants him to save his sperm for me Wink as I approach ovulation.  If things are not “good to go”., then she’s going to send me to an RE and most likely prescribe Clomid.  I told her I was fine with multiple births because this will most likely be our only pregnancy since I’m 41!    ~  How are you doing?

Girls!

so good to hear from you! I know I went MIA for a while but I have been very busy with work and *life* I guess…

My doctor’s appointment went great! I really liked her and this was my first time in an obgyn here in the US. I used to go every year in my home country and I still go to see my doctor there everytime I get a chance to visit my family.

Well, the doctor here said I am in great shape and she is not worried. She said nobody can tell if I am going to have a hard time conceiving or not until I start TTC.

I am taking prenatal vitamins and just waiting to start my TTC when we are finally married ๐Ÿ˜‰

I am trying not to xtress about what my future will be and just enjoy the beautiful summer …

Baby “dust” to all of you and thanks for the support always!!!!

@melisslp:  Fabulous nes about your appointment, so glad she is taking an aggressive approach.  I feel at our age, time is the biggest issue!  You must be excited to have a plan in place…I am know I am excited for you ๐Ÿ™‚

I am in kind of a limbo of sorts…we are doing IUI w/injectables next cycle so I am just hanging out til then.  It is kinda of an odd place to be, to be honest, I am not sure what I should be doing…mostly, should I use OPKs or not?!?!?  Anyway, I guess I will use this month to get myself prepared for next month, I never in a million years thought I would be using meds to get knocked up and it has been a little surreal to think that is where I am now.  I just have to have faith that this is the plan for us ๐Ÿ™‚  Thanks for asking about me ๐Ÿ™‚

@melisslp:  Congrats on your Gyn. t Its great that she is being aggressive.  Make sure you get records of all of your testing.  Even though your Gyn will refer you to a RE, its being proactive to know what is in your records and you can setup consults on your own.

@foreignbride:  Congrats on your appt as well.  Your Gyn is correct.  Until you TTC, you can’t assume.  There are soo many factors including genetics.  If it wasn’t for genetics, I wouldn’t be in the boat I’m in @ 42.

@gingersnap25:  I am!  Although I must admit that I’m not a big fan of getting my blood taken 3 times in a month!  haha  I’ll just have to suck it up because it’s so worthwhile!  Good luck with the IUI and injectibles!  ~  Sorry if this sounds naive, but will you be giving yourselves the shots?

@squeak35:  Thanks for the helpful advice, as always!  I will definitely ask for a copy.  Good luck with your injectibles!!  Crossing fingers (and toes) for you!!

@melisslp:  I just gave myself my 1st shot.  It was quite easy.  I didn’t feel the needle.  Its smaller than a needle prick on your finger.  it did sting a little afterwards but only for seconds.  Not Bad.  Not Bad.
