Ours were a themey invite with alot of elements.  Although I don’t think ours are over the top they were pretty busy.

It was a destination wedding to a mountain town so I had alot of info.  They were made using 2 double sided cards with the following info: invitation, hotel info and map, rsvp info and note to guests and the last side had a wedding weekend itinerary.  These 2 cards slid into the “mountain wrap” pocket/sleeve that alone was designed to look like a vintage travel ski poster.  The back of the pocket had our registry info.  I wrapped them with rope/twine and added a little tag.  The envelope had a wrap label with hand stamped envelope liners.

Here are some pics:

@Barika:  WOW those are gorgeous! Well done you!

We had pretty involved invites…

Our theme was nautical and we got married on a yacht in newport beach so we had our pouchette pocketfold customized to have nautical photos and our wedding date, venue, city, names, etc…

Then once opened, the insert cards were laid loose inside…

Instructions aka “Eat Drink & be Married”

Then the actual invite was placed on a gold backing and mounted to the pouchette:

and then I had some dried baby starfish the size of confetti so I put them in as well to give it a bit more ocean feel/smell/touch hehe – They were a HUGE hit!

Then the envelopes were addressed by a caligrapher

and sealed with our little monogram sticker

They were a lot of effort but I really loved them and the feedback was incredible so they were worth all the blood, sweat and tears! lol

I think your invite gets people excited about the event so I was glad ours were a little OTT

@BooRadley:  Awe thank you!

Yeah I think I got a little caught up in them and forgot to do a DIY recap… as the wedding date got closer, I started not going on the bee as much cuz it was just distracting me from all the things I had yet to do! lol Now, post-wedding I have more time on my hands haha

I have yet to do a full wedding recap as well! …I should really get on that too!

@Kimy:  Awe thank you! I tried very hard to not leave any info out because not all our guests were very well versed in the internet world and I knew they prob wouldn’t check our website. lol we got a lot of RSVPs by phone and world of mouth as well which I didn’t mind… we saved on stamps and still got the guest list sorted on time!

Also, with the yacht venue, I knew I needed to provide detailed instructions how to park and locate the actual yacht we were getting married on so the direction card was important AND the instruction card was REALLY important to make sure no one missed the departure!

AND we werent allowed to have wrapped presents on board for security reasons so that was important to tell guests that they could send gifts to the house or bring cards instead.

Glad I could help!
