I just had my makeup trial done today and she explained to me that most brides usually are overwhelmed by their makeup and it takes them about 20 minutes to adjust to the new look. She mentioned everyone knows how they are going to look like in the mirror before they look in the mirror so a new look is overwhelming.
I personally do not wear a lot of makeup and completely understand. Did any of you gals have this same reaction?

I was just surprised that it did not feel heavy. I rarely wear make up to work or on a daily basis so having a full face of it was a little odd, but I loved the way I looked so that was it. I kept looking in the mirror because I loved what was looking back at me.

I HATED my first one. I wanted a natural look (which I brought pictures of) and it ended up looking like a cross between a transvestite and a corpse. She kept saying how it was so important to have it heavy the day of so it showed in pictures, but I didn’t care. I wanted to look like me. I found someone else who did it the way I wanted, just a bit heavier than my everyday makeup. Very happy with that choice.

I was surprised I liked it only because I do my own makeup so I didn’t think the MUA would get it right.

I had the WORST trial makeup run, but i guess that’s what it’s for, thank god it was just a trial…
I had it done at sephora and I looked like a hooker. I even showed a picture of what I wanted and it looked NOTHING like it. They kept saying that in order to show up in pictures, you need a lot. “you lose 60% to a camera flash”. I’m sorry but i’d rather the makeup not show up in the pictures and actually look like myself in person when talking to my guests.
I’m doing my own for the wedding. I’m not trying to be a model, I’m trying to be me
