Originally, we had planned on an intimate wedding with our closest friends and family. That was before we made a list of said ppl! Let me say that I never knew we were so blessed with so many ppl in our lives. At the most I was thinking 100 ppl. That was the limit. I laugh looking back now…I am sitting here compiling our list and I start with my family. Let me tell you it is quite large. I already passed my 100 ppl limit:( It’s turning out to be a rough night…

@Cuddle Bug: I think the guest list is the biggest headache in this entire wedding. (Course, I’ve still got lots left to do!). We wanted to keep it smaller too, and family alone brought us over 100. Trying to keep it under 200 is proving to be a major stress point. We’re at about 225, so I think that we’ll be okay in the end. Our original goal was 150 though, and we’ll be well over that.
I have to keep reminding myself that we have to make a cut off somewhere – sorry mom!

I know what you mean! My goal for the reception celebration is at 150, 200 at the very VERY most. I thought it would be super easy, but as Fiance and I are sitting and compiling all the names and families, wow… we are biting off a little more than we can chew!
Another thing that we are trying hard to remember is that (sadly) not everyone will show. Some people will have things come up (it happens!) and that will free up the space. It’s not that I’m hoping people won’t show, but it’s just one of those things that happens with these kinds of events. People get sick, other plans happen, etc. So I figure that even if we sent out 250 invites, there’s a good chance that less than 200 will show. 🙂
That’s what keeps me from having guest list melt down! Good luck!
