Are you checking your cervical mucous?  That gives me a much better idea of when to BD, temps can only confirm that ovulation has occurred, but they don’t really tell you when you are in your fertile window.  Some women get a temp dip before O, but the majority don’t.  Also, you can have a temp dip one cycle and not another so I wouldn’t rely on that.  Are you doing OPKs once a day or multiple times throughout the day?  Some women have a short surge so checking once a day may not be enough.  Once you have completed a few cycles you will learn whether you can get by with testing once a day or if you have to test multiple times a day to catch it.  The best signal for me though is my cervical mucous.  When it is watery or egg white (I usually just have watery) it is go time.  I get a pos OPK a couple days after my CM changes. Good luck!

ETA: One more thing, the majority of women do not ovulate on day 14, so it is very possible you wil O later.  I tend to O between CD16-CD20 so my OPKs are always still negative on CD13.  Make sure to BD whenever you see fertile CM though, a positive OPK can come at any time!

@ANewMrs:  I also just saw you said you took an OPK today and it was negative.  Are you testing in the morning or the afternoon?  I can’t see which time zone you are in, but most OPKs recommend testing in the afternoon as that tends to be when the surge occurs.  Mine surges in the evening first, as well as the following day.  That could also help you catch the surge if you aren’t doing that already.

@ANewMrs: I agree with everything MrsEagleEye: said.  I would say that since your OPK is negative, the temp dip is probably just a fluctuation.  Most women see their OPKs get darker leading up to the positive (if you’re using the test strips and not the digitals).

my temps usually dip and remain low for about a week before i ovulate. this is something i did not know until i had charted a few months (enough to see it occur regularly).

since this is your first month charting, you don’t have any previous charts to know your patterns yet.

so… i’d go ahead and give BDing a chance. i’d also up the frequency of your OPKs until you find your surge (or until you ovulate).

@ANewMrs:  I would suggest buying OPK’s from Amazon. I use the Wondfo brand as well as many other bees do. I use them in the morning and late afternoon as to not miss my surge. Everything the PP’s have said I echo. Good luck!

@ANewMrs:  Could mean your surge is coming and you’ll get a positive tomorrow or the next day.  Or could be because you used FMU and hormones are just stronger in FMU.  Keep on POAS-ing and hopefully you’ll catch the surge!
