These are notoriously unreliable. They are guessing based off the “usual” cycle. I had a 30 day cycle but didn’t ovulate until CD20-22, giving me an 8-10 day LP.

If you are really that focused in knowing when you ovulate, please start teaching your temperature or at least doing OPK’s. They are MUCH more accurate

MrsAlvey:  lol, if you’re not preggo definitely temp next month. It’s kinda fun, I love seeing my chart, it gives me hope. But I hope you are KU and won’t need to! I’d wait a few days and if you still don’t feel any AF symptoms test again! FX so hard for you!

MrsAlvey:  Yeah, they are completely unreliable unless you’ve temped long enough to know your average O date and LP length

That particular one is accurate but only if you can enter in your both average luteal phase length and cycle length.  So it might be able to predict if you have temped for a number of months and know what your average LP is.  When I enter my averages (because I temped for 6 months) it is pretty accurate and was accurate for this month.  But FF does this same thing every month and gives a pretty reliable estimate based on the past.

If I didn’t know my LP and went by my last period and cycle length alone- it tells me I ovulated on 6/13.  In reality I ovulated on 6/18.  It would assume an average 14 day LP when mine is not that.
