I got a close to + on CD11 PM, but nothing close to + since then. Today I got quite a big temp dip (I usually get a pre-o dip) but I still got negative OPKs this AM and PM. Any ideas? I doubt I O’d and missed it. I usually get three + OPKs in a row. Thanks In Advance

lifeisbeeutiful : thanks for your reply- I know none are positive. My question was if it’s possible to have a pre O dip without a positive OPK.

coffeelvr45 : keep testing to see if the temperature comes up again tomorrow, you may ovulate within the next few days. A friend of mine had temps dip a week before she ovulated every month and then found out she had a problem with an underactive thyroid. GL

What CD do you usually ovulate? I O on CD 16 (for the past two months). Maybe you just haven’t ovulated yet.

It could be a false gear up or you could have just missed it.
FWIW the month I got pregnant with this baby I didn’t get a positive OPK but did ovulate

I don’t think you can conclude that your CD13 temp drop is pre-O. Unless you have a very brief LH surge, it doesn’t look like you’re close based on your OPk’s.

I have never had a positive OPK but confirmed ovulation through ultrasounds or progesterone tests. It’s possible.

coffeelvr45 : How was your temp this a.m.? I’m guessing if it’s still low you haven’t O’d yet and it might just be a bit delayed this cycle and will come later. So keep POA-OPK-S! Sorry for any stress this may be causing…that underlying stress could contribute to a delayed O…speaking from experience. I’ve found that if my body geared up to O but didn’t quite get there it tried again 5-7 days later and my temps went up a bit before going down again, kind of like a little hump or hill on my chart.

MrsFairyBee : temp this morning at 97.4. This mornings OPK was so negative the line wasn’t barely there. It is frustrating. I want to go back to testing once a day but since this is mid cycle I guess I’ll continue with twice a day.
I usually O around CD16 and I get three days of blazing OPKs during a confirmed O with temp. So the + OPKs start around CD13. I’m just gonna take a break from BD and see where things go for the rest of this week.
thanks everyone!!

coffeelvr45 : I usually get three days of positives too. And usually my opks will go to verrrrry negative barely there the day before it turns to almost positive or positive. But yeah, take a break from BDing today and start again when your opk is almost + or positive, that will still give you three or four days to BD and get good timing! Give you and your DH a rest day or so, you deserve it. Also, I’m playing the waiting to get + OPK game too. CD16 here…twiddling my thumbs, ha!
