gah. I’ve tried starting it with my partner (only the workouts) but I can’t make it through the whole sessions lol. My partner is also doing it (on and off again) and whenever he does it for a few weeks I can definitely see results.

I’ve had mates do it (all male) but they definitely look healthier after they’re done and they lsot quite a bit of weight. I imagine it’s a different thing for women though. Our bodies LOVE fat. Are you doing the eating part of it as well?

For me I just decided to go on an eating program to lose the few kilos I wanted to and that’s worked a treat. I’ve lost about 4-5 kilos so far and it’s only been just over a month.

I did it last year, I didn’t do it to lose weight (I’m not sure if I did – I don’t weigh myself) but I definitely got more toned. My arms were awesome! I didn’t do the eating program – I’m vegetarian and the high protein diet actually made me pretty sick as I missed a lot of fibre etc, so after a couple of weeks I just went back to normal eating. My goal was to get in good shape before I got pregnant and it worked (now 20 weeks along :)) My Darling Husband has done the program a couple of years ago and is doing it again now, he gets very good results from it. It’s pretty hard core, good luck!

I’m in my second round of P90X and have done Insanity. I haven’t lost a ton of weight on it, but I’m doing it more as a toning tool. However, I’m on a Team Beachbody thread, and there are quite a few people there who have lost a good amount of weight, although I still think Insanity is probably a better program if you’re looking for weight loss.

Insanity is great. It’s such a butt kicking, but it’s fun, and you’ll be surprised at how quickly you improve. I still love P90X, though, but the weight loss, especially for women, tends to be slower because of the muscle building. That said, weight loss can be so different for each individual. This is just my observation from people I know who have done one or both programs.

I have done both. I started with P90x. It was hard and made me hurt ( which was a good feeling), but I felt that it was too monotonous for me. Also, I think it was more geared towards men, with upper body strength. I didn’t see any amazing results with p90x. I wanted to lose like 10lbs and tone up. I quit after two months. You need too many things to work out, pull up bars, bands, weights, etc….and the workout were way too long and boring to keep me interested.

I then bought insanity and LOVE it. It’s fast paced and you get done with the workout and your dripping with sweat and felt like you got your butt kicked. lol I did this before my wedding and got great results, I lost the weight I wanted and felt good!

I’m almost done with week 2 of Insanity and I absolutely love it! It’s the best workout I’ve ever done and I’ve never sweated so much in my life!

Plus I love Shaun T. He’s the first person on one of those types of videos that I don’t want to punch in the face.

I’ve lost about 4 pounds in the 2 weeks and I can already tell a big difference in my endurence and flexibility.

I just finished week two of P90x! I’m doing the nutrition guide too. Th first phase is high protein, low carb. Gosh, I miss my carbs SO much!

I have noticed a tiny differnce though! There was a diagonal “fat” crease on the inside of my elbows that isn’t there anymore! Isn’t that a strange thing to notice? Haha! I’m happy either way!

I just started p90x . . . getting ready to go do my first Yoga workout!  I like it so far, even though my legs are still killing me from plyo 2 days ago!

I did p90x and am now doing insanity. I prefer insanity over p90x if I had to choose.  I found p90 ridiculously long! I felt like the workouts dragged on. I plugged through it and my arms were def more toned. I like insanity because I feel like the time goes by quicker and I am drenched in sweat by the time the actual workout begins.
