Love love love this workout program!!!

I’ve done it, no lie, like 5 times.  I’ve gotten in the best shape of my life due to programs like this and other Beachbody programs.  Good luck, it’s not easy, but if you work hard it is TOTALLY worth it!

I just started my second attempt on Monday. It takes a LOT of time, and the workouts are so hard you won’t want to do anything after that, so I basically stopped running for two months. Then I was really excited because I was getting stronger, but I tried to run once and nearly died.

So this time I am doing just the strength workouts (every day the abs workout is involved) and running on the other days. I hope this way I can keep up my progress both with P90X and running!

I tried it and it will whip you into shape. I tried it after my 6 week check after I had my son and got cleared to work out… I realized how out of shape I was and decided to try to get back into shape a little before I continued with this… bc its hard but so worth it.

YES!! It’s insanely hard and I rarely make it through the entire workout…. but it’s fun and definitely works. It’s also nice to have something you can do from home (less embarassing hehe). If you stick with it, it will definitely work!! If your Darling Husband is looking to get really muscular, this is definitely the program for him. The results for guys are really noticable and quick. Good luck!!!

Fiance and I are doing the P90X “lean” version (which basically replaces day 1 with a core workout and day 2 with cardio instead of pliometrics).  We are just finishing up our second week.  It is hard as hell – especially ab ripper x!  (Oh, and we finish each workout with an Advil – hah!)

I really like the main guy who leads you through the exercises – so here is to hoping we get our buts into better shape!  Good luck to all of the other bees out there who are “Bringing it”!

I’m thinking about starting it next week…did anyone complete the workouts with resistance bands instead of the chin-up bar? What were your results?

@HueysLuda: I use the resistance bands instead of the pull up bar… I’m a wuss and proud of it!! I could never get beyond my first pull up so I definitely get more out of the resistance bands. What I like about the bands is that you can use them in different ways to target whatever specific area you want. I haven’t been at it for long enough to tell you about results… but I definitely don’t have any complaints 🙂

@mannarose630: NICE! I’m scared to use the pull up bar on my door frame…I’m afraid that my body weight may break it…old house.

@HueysLuda: Pull up bars for door frames are designed so your weight doesn’t actually pull it downward. But my fiance is extra paranoid so we don’t have one 🙂 I am using resistance bands and that’s about all I can handle… I have the upper body strength of a T.rex.

I haven’t done it but my Fiance has (and still does). He lost about 80lbs in 7 or so months sticking to it religiously and eating a diet of 6 small meals a day. It works but you have to do it 5-6 times a week and adjust your diet to match. Good luck!

I LOVE P90X.  I really wanted to do another round of it before the wedding but I just don’t have the time to put towards it.  FH loves it too so I am sure we will go through it about a million times in our lifetime.  It is hard work and takes quite a commitment but I think it is totally worth it.  If nothing else, it is very empowering which I love.  I have never felt so strong as after doing the program.  FH lost 30 or 40 pounds, I lost closer to 10 but there is a definite change in your body and how your clothes fit regardless of what the scale says.

@HueysLuda: LOL you definitely won’t pull it down… I used to do p90x with my brother and it could handle his weight. It marked up our wall pretty badly though… and dented the door frame. oops! i prefer the bands for sure.
