I did the first six weeks, then got really sick so stopped…but am planning on starting again tomorrow! It’s very effective if you do it everyday (well, all 6 days). I didn’t follow the nutrition plan because I eat pretty healthy anyways and was doing it to get stronger, not really to lose weight. Having said that, I definitely saw results after the 6 weeks! I started feeling a big difference after about 2 weeks, which kept me going. My advice is to stick with it, and don’t substitute workouts…I’ve read that many people hate yoga x so they skip it but to me that’s the most beneficial workout. Let me know how it goes and good luck!!

I say go for it! Just make sure that you’re able to stick with a regular exercise plan before you start P90x. It’s super hard, and expensive if you decide to stop after a week or two. If you’re good at seeing things through though, it would be great. It’s very hard, but a great workout.

You can download some of the workouts online. I would try a few of those. I think it is a really good workout, but i dont always have an hour-hour and a half to spend on it. I really like bodyrock. Its an online thing. they upload new workouts every afternoon, and they are 30 min at max. And they kick my butt.

I’m two weeks in… I haven’t lost any weight, but I’ve lost 2 inches (1 on waist, 1 on hips), and I can actually do a full-out push-up for the first time in years.  I’m really amazed with how quickly I’ve seen results.

Make sure you have a pull-up bar, or at the very least, strong resistance bands, and free weights.  Most days require the bands and/or weights, so it’s hard to do without them!

Also, google the “P90xcel” worksheet.  It’s a downloadable (free) worksheet with linked schedules and all the tracking info you’ll need, plus body fat calculators and stuff.  It’s amazing, and I highly recommend it because it’s the easiest way to track your progress.

I did and completed the dvd series…I didn’t lose a lot of weight, but inches fell right off…make sure to do your measurements, and not focus on the scale # as much. I didn’t follow the eating plan either, but eat relatively healthy. Make sure to follow how they lay out the workouts, I did the lean version 1st too.
