It depends on what you weight now, your fitness level, your comittment to the entire program, and what program you are doing (Lean vs. Regular). For instance, I didn’t lose a single pound when I did it – I put on 4 lbs but I dropped 2 sizes and gained really lovely arms. Don’t focus on the number of pounds – focus on making your body stronger! Good Luck! It’s a really fun program! 🙂

I just completed phase 1 of the lean program and my scale has stayed the same.  However, my clothes are fitting better and I feel fantastic.

I’ll be honest, I was a little depressed when I noticed the scale hasn’t moved, so I’m just trying to change my mind-set from losing pounds to losing clothes-sizes.

We just started P90X 6 days ago (this is my second round) so it will be P180X for me. he he but my FH weighs 180lbs expects to lose about 20lbs by the 90 day period.

I weigh 129lbs and I expect to lose about 12lbs in the 90 day period, this time around I am doing the P90X diet while I exercise (whereas last time I didn’t and I didn’t lose anything but 4lbs). So I am doing it right and I expect great results. I measured myself and I lost 1/4 inch in my hips already and that is not unheard of, I have alot to lose there. lol.

Good luck, remember P90X does NOT work without doing the P90X diet.

I lost 10lbs after doing p90x religiously for 90 days.  I didn’t do the diet, but I did eat about 1/4th less then what I ate before.  Everyone told me that I looked really skinny after the workout.  =)

Ultimately, it really depends on your diet that will determine your weight loss.

Just be careful with the pull ups.  My shoulders started hurting a lot after doing the workout.  I ended up taking glucosamine pills for the pain.  But after I stopped doing the workout, the pain went away.

Doing the diet is key, to expect the kind of results it promises.

My hubby has it and he gets such a good workout from it (he is in pretty good shape already, just wants it for the extra push) ..but he has never followed the meal plan or diet suggestions.

My guess is that if you lose clothes sizes (which is awesome) then you are really getting toned, gaining muscle and losing fat……..

If you dont lose anything, its probably food related……

Don’t forget that muscle does really weigh more than fat and it uses more calories! So just because you’re not losing weight doesn’t mean that there is not fat loss going on which is a lot harder to judge.

I’d be careful about cutting out snacks.  A lot of diets consider snacks important b/c they hold off hunger and keep your metabolism working.

@FutureMrsMcDermott: don’t cut out snacks. If you don’t eat the recommended calories recommended by the P90X diet than you are going to gain weight. You have to eat to lose weight believe it or not.

When you start eating all of the calories it seems like sooo much and you are really full, but as you continue with the workouts and get better at it than you will get hungrier. For late night hunger pains you just need to drink lots of water and grin and bare it, it will get better, but don’t eat more than you’re suppose to.

I’m on day 18 and have lost 4lbs and 1″ 1/2″ in my hips already. I have been sticking to the diet and doing the entire workouts (no cheating and no skippinig workouts) and it is really paying off.

Good luck.

I weighed 115 pounds when I started. I did the lean routine. By the time I was done, I was at 102.5 pounds.
