Hi Bees,
A month ago I started a healthier diet with exercise. To challenge myself further this month I’m starting a P90x/Insanity hybrid. I’m hoping both to lose weight and tone arms for my wedding, however, I don’t have a pull up bar so I’m using bands.
Have any other bees done p90x using bands, and if so how were your results?
Thanks In Advance.

mermaid99: I used bands with P90x and I was definitely more toned, but I do think you have to push yourself to use the tighter bands and really dial into that muscle. My husband also used the bands and saw great results, so I’m guessing I wasn’t “Trying” as hard as he was. Either way, we both definitely saw results with the whole system using bands and modifying exercises when we needed to. I also recommend writing down how many reps you do with the worksheets p90x has. It really was a nice reward to see the reps increase over the weeks and it also made us push ourselves when we knew we could at least do whatever we did the previous week.

whitums: I agree choosing the right band is key. I had two days this week to use them and apparently both the 10 and 15 are too light. I bought a kit that goes up to 30, maybe I should just skip right to that? I also have multiple door hooks, so I could set up a few to use during the workout.
I’ve been trying to encourage my fiance to do it with me, however, I work out very early in the a.m. and he’s more a go to the gym in the evening type.
