@MrsMckaytoBE: I am excited for you and your future results!!! I love P90X….I tried Chalean Extreme for 1 week. Somehow after doing a round of P90X Doubles….Chalean just didn’t seem “Extreme”….lol!!!

So I came crawling back to P90X.  I just started my P90X lean program today!  I’ve got Cardio X tomorrow….well, actually later on today. LOL.

My one suggestion for you is to purchase a caliper to measure your fat loss. The scale is not your friend with P90X, specially when you start building and gaining muscle. For example: During my Doubles Phase I & II, I lost a totall of 13 lbs but at the end of Phase III, I gained 5 lbs back…of muscle weight.

Good Luck and enjoy your next workout!

And do check back in to share your progress!

Good job!  Getting started is the hardest part.  I haven’t done p90x but I have heard it’s killer.  I might try it after I get more in shape.  Keep it up and you’ll look awesome- all the pictures I have seen are amazing.

I went through the program and started the second cycle this week.  It’s ruff!  I didn’t lose any weight, which irritated me, but I don’t follow the diet, either.  The diet is NUTS, I don’t see how anyone can follow it unless they have a personal chef or stay at home all day. Didn’t seem to lose any fat either (measurements stayed the same) but I can sell quite a few tickets to the “gun show” if you know what I mean.

Good luck!

@MrsMckaytoBE: I did some Superman/Banana today when I did Cardio X. LOL, that last part always sneaks up on me.

Here’s a link to the newsletters that Teacm Beach Body sends out every month. There are some recepies they recommend there along with other workout tips. You can also probably just search online for the nutrition book for p90x.

Tomorrow, I have Shoulders, Arms and AB Ripper X……I am In Luuuuv with AB Ripper X….lol

Do take care of that headache before it gets worse! I hope you feel better soon.

I really like p90x!! I also have beach body’s Brazil Butt lift which is all about the thighs and buns. P90X is wayyyyy more extreme. I didn’t follow the diet and had definite muscle toning! Hoping to get back at it next week!

@ejs1228: Have you tried Tony Horton’s “Bun Shaper”…..that one is fun too…targets the legs and butt and makes you use your core muscles while you’re at it.

@MrsMckaytoBE: After you graduate from P90X…..you should check out P90X Plus….if you love AB Ripper X…..You’re going to fall head over heels for the abdominal work out on the Plus. I did!!!

@mrscunningham2b,I haven’t tried the Bun Shaper. I’m hoping the next 88 days will get me in shape before our engagement (and my Boudoir) pics! Yikes! I’m not following the diet because I burned the DVD’s and didn’t get it. Hopefully a sensible and balanced diet will do the trick. It’s hard cuz those workouts make me soooo hungry.

@ejs1228: LOL!!! Me too!!! I am always hungry!!! I am taking a Multivitamin which i noticed helps curve the cravings. I think the feeling of being so hungry has something to do with our body needing nutrients to heal from the intense workouts.  I also keep fruits and vegies nearby so I don’t eat junk and lots of water.

the diet is really easy….lean proteins and healthy carbs…meaning no processed carbs like white bread and pasta or sodas, candies. So the easy way is to replace your bread and pasta with fruits, vegetables and whole grains. I also take protein shakes before and after workouts to help my muscles heal faster. The only thing that I could not part with is my coffee….gotta have my coffee or I feel like the walking dead….lol

88 days is plenty of time!!! You’ll be able to do it!!! I’m on my 2nd week of Lean and I’m really happy with the results already.
