Philadelphia is a wonderful city to visit. Check out the website http://www.gophila.com it has a lot of great info. I am a Philadelphia native and I use it to find new places to go.

When are you guys planning on honeymooning? Besides the obvious Philadelphia, I would suggest going to Hershey (although I am a lil’ biased ).

Hershey Park (it’s an amuesment park) is open seasonally in the summer, but they are open for Halloween events and Christmas events too. While in Hershey you can also check out the Hershey Museum, Chocolate World, and Hershey Gardens. Harrisburg (the capital of PA) is about 20 minutes from Hershey. And just to note, Philly is 1.5-2 hours away from Hershey; so you can do both!). http://www.hersheypa.com/

If you are going in the summer, check out Lancaster (which is about 45 minutes from Hershey) to check out Amish country. The PA Renaissance Faire is a summer thing (a must see!), but they have plays going on year round (also 45 min. from Hershey).

Gettysburg is not to bar away from Hershey/Harrisburg either.

I’m not from Philly, but I know its a fun city.  I am from Pittsburgh and it is also pretty great and there is a lot of history here.  If you’re into museums, they are a must see.  I would also suggest Nemacolin for a relaxing retreat…. http://www.nemacolin.com/

Also look at Bedford Springs Resort.  It’s totally beautiful and secluded 🙂
