I attended a chinese banquet wedding there.  The place is nice but the food was mediocre.  Much of the food came out cold and there was so much leftover.  The hotel does not allow for guest to pack food home.

I went to a banquet once and thought the venue was nice, but not stunning. The decor is bland and the service was mediocre. It was a chinese menu and the food wasn’t the greatest, but it wasn’t bad either. All in all it was good, but not great.

If this is the same Pacific Palms Resort I had my wedding in Industry Hills, CA I couldn’t ask for anything better!!!!!! I shopped around to many many many hotels and Chinese banquet restaurants and this was by far the best choice around town. The hotel is beautiful alone but my DJ Jack from TMMPRO did our uplights as well which made our ballroom look even more amazing.  I worked with Elaine M. and Crystal Kelly from the hotel.  (i would recommend you to work with either one), but I believe Crystal does all the coordinating and planning and she knows what she’s talking about!!!! My guest all loved the food, the only complaint (If this is really a complaint) is they serve too much food =) If I had another chance to do my wedding again I would for sure go back to Pacific Palms Resort!

I recently heard from a girlfriend who was looking into having her wedding at the Pacific Palms that they no longer serve shark fin soup as part of their Chinese wedding banquet, on animal cruelty grounds.  The absence of shark fin soup, which is an essential "core" dish of a Chinese banquet, was the deal breaker for her, so she’s having her September 2009 wedding at the San Gabriel Hilton.  Interestingly, despite omitting the the expensive shark fin soup from their menu, Pacific Palms didn’t lower their prices to accomodate the omittance.
