I had the most amazing time this morning 😀 i even narrowed my choices down to 3!

Ahhhhh! this is going to be so hard! they are all so pretty :(, i think i’ve sort of eliminated tiana though because the length isn’t long enough on me when i wear heels. Jasmine or Ciprianna, i have no idea how i am going to decide lol.

i find I go through stretches where I plan and think about it all day long and then I will stop for a week or so. So far I have chosen the venue, picked my dress, booked the band and decided on the food. The 2 things I really want to nail down are the officiant and the photographer.

I ended up choosing the jasmine 😀

I’ll be wearing a cathedral length veil with it and my train is semi cathedral length :), i’ve ordered it in and now we wait! I’ll take pics when i pick it up because my store didn’t allow cameras 🙁

How is everyone going with their planning? <3 ^^

@peacockrosebride:  Hey, date twin!

So far we’ve booked our ceremony and reception at the same place and discussed a custom menu with our caterer. We’re going home next month so I’m hoping to meet with some photographers or officants while we’re there.

@JackiBean:  We’re going for afternoon garden and games party as our theme. We wanted a brunch buffet which was not a standard package, so we hashed out the details on that with them already. We’re having

-home made doughnuts

– fresh fruit display

– mondo salad, walnuts, feta cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers and balsamic vinaigrette dressing over mixed field greens

-pasta salad, bowtie pasta in a creamy dillsauce with sundried tomatoes, scallions, and toasted pine nuts

– bacon

– breakfast sausage

– french toast bake, tart green apples, dried cranberries and sliced white bread

– hash browns with goat cheese

– feta and veggie frittata

– ham and cheese frittata

– assorted quiches, Lorraine with spinach and swiss cheese, smoked ham and cheddar, and garden vegetable

– beef tips with mushroom burgundy sauce

-carved turkey

– fresh peel and eat shrimp display

– assorted breakfast breads, muffins

and of course cake :). It does seem a bit odd to me to be planning a meal that we won’t eat for over a year and a half.

We’re getting married on August 3, 2014!!

So far we’ve pretty much chosen our venue…. I’m having last minute doubts, though!! But they’re silly doubts… I’m just that type of person to doubt my decisions.

We have a planner and we have put our deposit down for the photographer (and planner), which is 1/3rd of the cost. So, so far we’ve spend about $1500, but there will be more soon when we choose the venue.

I’m also trying to pace myself, but don’t want to wait until the last minute!!

Best of luck to you in your planning! I’m glad I’m not the only bride feeling excited to plan, but not wanting to go too fast!! =) I’m afraid if I decide on things like the dress, etc. I’ll end up changing my mind by the time August 2012 comes around!! The venue and photographer should be booked now though so I can get the date I want…

We’ve started collecting little things (i.e., photo frames, candy table jars) and have booked our officiant, are about to book our photographer, are having meetings with caterers, and have booked our venue. I’ve been looking for a dress, but I’m very particular, so I might just get one made.

@JackiBean:  I’ve tried on dresses, and I’m in love with one (Mori Lee 5108, which I’ve tried on three times) but I wish it was in Chiffon with a button back. So I’m going to keep looking for the next couple of months, but if I don’t find anything by August, I’m going to just go ahead and get it made.
