There really isn’t much of a place for us on Wedding bee is there? We don’t have a particular board under faith, so I just stuck this in the beehive. I think being a pagan bee has certain stresses that others just don’t have to deal with… for one thing, a lot of us are still in the closet with our families. Some of us are not- but then, if your family doesn’t support your religion choices you may end up with a very small ceremony. It makes planning a wedding an even bigger sometimes more scary task.
I myself am not out of the closet with my family. As such we will be incorporating pagan elements but not outright admitting what they are. My family is catholic… and its already controversial that I am not getting married in a church or by a catholic priest.
Anyway, I’ve created a blog for my wedding where I will be all out and honest with my pagan self under the name Miss. Unicorn. Clearly its not for family π Anyway, I hope that for other pagans out there it gives you some ideas and support that YES you can have a pagan wedding even if you are not out of the closet so to speak.
I just started… so there isn’t too much yet.
(link removed due to self promotion policy – sorry!)
I would really love to see other pagan brides blogs, pictures, etc!!! I would love to hear what you are doing for your wedding and your ramblings as a pagan bride!

I’m not either, but I’ll probably follow along on your blog to get some insight into how weddings are different with these beliefs. Looking forward to learning!

Also, you may not be able to use this username if they have picked a Unicorn as one of the blogger icons. It may be better to know now than later when you have a bunch of different posts tied to this name.

Does anyone else think that the self promotion thing is a bit out of control?
I understand that you don’t want vendors coming on here and spamming ads. But I dont see why a person creating a blog to share ideas with like minded people should be included.
I would love to go check out that blog, and now can’t

Yes, I think its stupid. Its really hard to find pagan blogs and pictures and the generic wedding blog posts they do allow are never going to cater specifically to a relgion. Especially a religion that isn’t mainstream. It really feels like they siliencing us. π
