I realize I sound like such a wimp here, but did anyone have any pretty substantial pain and/or weakness in their arm after getting the tDAP vaccine? The pharmacist warned me this may happen, but Boyyyyy, what am I going to do about child birth if this is already a doozy? Lol

Mrs. Meowerson : I had T-Rex arm for a week!!!!!!! And I had a reaction to it too! I ended up having major body aches and felt like absolute hell for 24 hours after the vaccine. So they now decided I’m allergic and I won’t be able to get it for future pregnancies. 😒

Mrs. Meowerson : Yes, every time I’ve had the Tdap (which has been 3 times in the past 5 years thanks to nursing school and pregnancies) my arm has been super sore for the next couple days. I’ve read that working the arm actually does help the tenderness decrease, so I try to keep moving it, even though it hurts. Also a nice hot shower seems to help. By day 3 after the shot it wasn’t too bad for me, this time around.

I HATE THAT SHOT!!!!!! My arm killed me after it. And I got nothin out of it (nothing that I could see anyways…) after my (mostly med free) 36 hour (mostly back!) labor and delivery, I got my absolutely beautiful scrumscious little baby!!!!
Way different 😉

I don’t mind getting shots … but TDAP hurt! I ended up with a fever and a giant bruise for a couple weeks. Yuck! Sorry you had to go through it

Yeah, I was achey for a few days. Sucks, but it passes, and it’s so good for the baby to have those antibodies. Whooping cough is terrifying.
