I think I’m falling apart. So at about 10 weeks I started having a lot of pain in my tailbone. It doesn’t hurt so much when I’m sitting but the second I stand up it kills, it takes a couple of minutes to walk off each time. My nose is beyond stuffy and dry at the same time and I have a constant pain from my big toes up my foot (that probably has nothing to do with pregnancy lol)
The new pain that I’m a little worried about is it feels like someone kicked me with boots on right in between my legs. Like my pelvic bone there feels sore and bruised. It mainly feel external, not internal. Is this normal?
Any other aches and pains I should expect to experience.

The stuffy nose is totally normal. You can take regular sudafed (NOT the PE) during pregnancy. You have to ask the pharmacist for it from behind the counter and sign the anti-meth log.
As for the pubic bone pain, I had pain, but it wasn’t extreme and it was much later in the pregnancy. Have you done any bike riding or otherwise strenuous? I’d ask your OB; the bones soften as the pregnancy progresses to widen and make room for baby, but I wouldn’t think you should be in major pain at 10wks.

I have never been pregnant, but from what you described it sounds EXACTLY like a coworkers pregnancy symptoms when she was pregnant with her first. She ended up resorting to sitting on a donut – pretty early on too. She had a ton of tailbone pain and was in a lot of discomfort from about the same time you were right through to the end. 🙁 I’d say if it gets worse or is really bothersome maybe bring it up at your next appt?
I hope you feel better!!

All of that is normal, except for maybe the big toe thing lol. Although your body produces hormones that let your muscles and bones relax, in order to let your hips spread, and in some woman that effects their feet. Lots of my friends said they changed a shoe size after pregnancy.
My pelvic pain started at 11 weeks.

@inspiredcreationsbyhaley- I walk our two dogs everyday now for about an hour but that’s it. I am now 13 weeks but I know that still isn’t that far along. I just hope there is nothing wrong with the baby. I go again to the doctors next week but wasn’t sure if I should be alarmed now.

@roxy821: I wouldn’t be alarmed; especially since the pain goes away after walking it off. Just mention it to your doc at your next appt.

@StaceyA- I am so tempted to bring in a donut lol. I just started telling work so maybe as soon as the news is out then I will.
@mwitter80- Glad to know it’s normal, even though it seems very weird?
@EngagedtoPanda- In the front though? Sorry for Too Much Information but the bone right near the front opening if that makes sense.

All sounds normal to me although I have never had any of those troubles so early on. Bad news, your vag area will just get more sore as you get along. Towards the end when I walked I just wanted to hold myself down there it hurt so bad. I hope you feel better soon 🙁

For the stuffy nose my doctor suggested using saline spray twice a day, which ended up helping ALOT. I was also getting lots of nosebleeds and the spray helped with that as well! Unfortunately I have no advice for the other aches….feel better!

@roxy821: I’m only 7w but I have a pain that feels similar to tailbone but it’s further left. It definitely feels like a bone and really hurts when I stand. I haven’t had another appointment so I haven’t asked about it yet.
I also wake up with my right hip numb lately.

@Callmec- Ohh no, I’m going to be struggling in the 3rd trimester.
@futuremrsklein- I will def ask my doctor about that. Every time I blow my nose it’s tried blood and my allergies don’t make it any better.
@sfreeman2187- Only 7 weeks, looks like you and I are going to be struggling together. I’ll let you know what the doctor says.

I’ve never been pregnant and maybe I’m way off base here.. but is it possible it might be SI joint pain? It’s pretty common in pregnancy and might be due to an alignment imbalance. If it turns out to be the case, the donut can help, and if it gets really bad, I think some chiropractors are trained in pregnancy adjustments.

@roxy821: I’m almost 14 weeks along and I think that I know that pain in front that your describing. Is it kind of sharp? I’ve had it and it’s normal, apparently.
It’s also normal to have stretchy crampy feelings because your uterus is expanding (according to my Doc), which was good to know because I felt like a crazy person.
I’ve also had the lower back pain, but not the tailbone exactly.
I still feel kind of crazy because most of my friends were pretty asymptomatic, so…sometimes I feel like super complainer. I’ve had a lot of “morning” sickness and am now taking meds and have IBS, so the constipation, while nothing new, is pretty ridic.
We can be weird together!

@rockdr- I will bring that up and ask the doctor. I haven’t heard of SI joint pain but I am learning that anything is possible.
@ArwenBride- I just got over 12 weeks of vomitting all day and night. I thought I was doing better now here’s the pain, so I feel like I am constantly complaining too. How come noone ever tells you all of this! Glad to know your doctor said it’s normal and I guess we can be weird together! 🙂
