some of my braxton hicks are painful. i havent had any back labor type ones though… but that could just be his position ๐Ÿ™‚ also…. tmi… but when dh and i have sex, those are the absolute worst braxton hicks i have experienced… my OB said orgasms can trigger uterine contractions. so yea… i think its pretty normal… i started getting BH’s right at 26 weeks too.

I have found that lots of things trigger mine.  So if you tweaked something in your back, it could have triggered one rather than the back part being part of the actual contraction.  Just a thought.  Here are some of the things that trigger mine:

  • Turning over in bed
  • Standing up from a sitting or laying position
  • coughing
  • Having to pee/peeing
  • Bending over
  • Walking quickly
  • Getting cold/tensing up
  • Baby kicking hard

Oh I could go on.  They happen constantly and I am getting really sick of them, to be honest.  They seem to be getting much stronger and more painful/uncomfortable too.

I haven’t had any BH yet, but I have heard from other friends/read in books that they can hurt.  It sounds like that might be what you had.  If you’re concerned, I wouldn’t hesitate to let your doctor know…they’ll definitely let you know if they think that it’s something to worry about.  ๐Ÿ™‚

I have had a few BH contractions that hurt. Definitely not fun ๐Ÿ™  I’m glad you haven’t had any more.
