Please keep an eye on it. If you feel any lower back pain go back to the doctor, er, emergency clinic wherever. I have had two UTI’s and they immediately led to kidney infections. Drink lots of water. It will help flush your system.

I used to get them ALL THE TIME!!! It is so painful, I’m really sorry hun.

One thing that used to help was to get the 100% cranberry juice which tastes disgusting but down as much of it as you can. It basically coats your bladder and is a natural analgesic. Since it coats the bladder, the bacteria can’t hang on there and it helps quite a bit.

I’m a Clinical Nutritionist, and what I suggest to my patients is lower your chicken (or eat organic chicken) intake due to 9 out of 10 conventional chickens have the UTI causing bacteria. Increase your alkaline fruits and vegetables. Get some raw cranberries, mash them up if possible and you can add RAW honey to that. Raw honey will sweeten it and it’s a natural antibacterial. You have to make sure it says “RAW” on the jar. Also, cranberry juice in the grocery stores is pasturized, meaning that it has hardly any nutritional value left and it’s the cocktail which won’t help you. Lastly, urinate after intercourse, need be. It really helps reduce UTI’s. Vitamin C from organic oranges will also help you! Feel better!!

@Lyndzo:  Do you get them after sex or your period? I did and my doctor gave me a low dose of antibiotics to take after sex and my period. It helped to keep them from reoccuring.

@Lyndzo:  I’ve been able to find it at Whole Foods and Trader Joes and sometimes regular grocery stores have it in the health food aisle. It’s never with the ocean spray kind of cocktail stuff.

@scadadle15:  It may be at health food stores but all I’ve seen at Whole Foods is the pasturized kind ๐Ÿ™ I’ll keep a look out, I’m going there today. Trader Joes is for sure pasturized.

@SurferB:  Maybe it is pasturized, I’m not sure but it still works for me.

@Lyndzo:  She’s probably right. If you get that low dose antibiotic and take it after sex, that should help.

Do you use condoms? I found that trojans seemed to irriate me more than other brands too. I never figured out if it was related to UTIs or not but I think it did.
