@Lyndzo:  You’re welcome! Many people do not know that, but it’s one of the major causes of frequent UTI’s. Good luck, flush your system!! Fresh squeezed lemon water also helps + lots of raw cranberries (:

***Have you thought about mixing the raw cranberry juice with some sweet raw apple juice? It will help.

I’ve learned to take cranberry supplements daily, that helps ward them off like 80% of the time.  Also take AZO for your pain!

I have the same issue… prone to them no matter how much liquid I drink or how much I pee after sex!  I’ve found any kind of pain reliever often helps, and the pain reliever made for UTIs that makes your pee flourescent orange helps a lot!

I so feel your pain, last year I was at the gyno every month it seemed with one. Like some PPs have mentioned, a diet change drastically helps. Trust me, I didnt think it would make that much of a difference but I was very wrong. When I feel one coming on I usually take Cystex or Uricalm which are both OTC meds; they work like a charm. May not work for you but its worth a shot. So sorry you’re suffering, I know how much they hurt 🙁

Oh my goodness, I am switching to organic chicken!  I’m willing to try anything, and that seems like an easy enough change to make!

@LissaBabyxo:  Yes, if the infection isn’t really that bad yet sometimes this works and it goes away on its own. Since you get them so often, you can feel the early signs immediately.

I get them all the time too – and since I don’t always have time to go to the doc and get a prescription, I’ve found that over-the-counter AZO works WONDERS. It’s almost immediate relief for me. Hope you feel better soon!

@Lyndzo:  I used to get them almost every month. After a bunch of test and antibodics the dr suggested I take a cranberry pill everyday. I’ve been doing that for a year and haven’t had another UTI since. **knock on wood**

I hope you feel better soon!!

I used to work cleaning houses in the summer, and I got one then. I was washing a floor in such pain I cried…and then put pads and TP in my underwear so I could clean and just let the painful, tiny drops of pee come out because it was unbearable sitting on the toilet waiting for it all to be finished. After I got the antibiotic I felt like a new person. Soooo horrible!!! I feel for ya!

@Lyndzo:  LOL ! Yes, do you know why the chickens have UTI causing bacteria? It’s a number of factors, but one being the over use of antibiotics in chickens and because the chickens are kept in small cages where they lay in their feces. In chickens, the urethra and anus are extremely close to each other, they easily become infected with bacteria.

This is awkward to say but I used to get UTI’s frequently and then my Dr. recommended being before sex as well as immediately after and since I started doing that I haven’t had one. It makes me feel a little awkward but it’s worth it.

AZO standard is AMAZING.  You can find it at any drugstore.  It works super fast to take away all the symptoms of a UTI.  (You still need the antibiotic to get rid of the actual infection; AZO just masks the symptoms.)  Just a warning, it makes your pee bright orange.  I was scared the first time I used it, but it’s completely normal! haha. You might want to look into cranberry pills if you’re getting recurrent infections.
