We are moving and finally have a place where we can paint the walls!
I need help chosing a paint color for the bedroom.
I got this comforter set for my bridal shower. We want to do an accent wall behind the bed. What color would go well with this. I don’t want it too matchy-matchy and don’t want it too masculine. Not sure what color the curtains will be yet.
Is dark or light better for a bedroom?

Oddly, I am not a fan of accent walls within a closed room like a bedroom (as opposed to a wall in an open floor plan).
How about choosing a shade of blue you like for the walls and go a couple shades lighter for the ceiling?
These are the wrong colors totally, but this idea

I’d probably go with a brown-ish, darker tan color. What color are the rest of the (non-accent) walls?

@ThreeMeers: We’re not going to paint the ceilings, so I’m not sure I like that idea. We just wanted a pop of color instead of doing the whole thing. I do like those pictures, though.

@Mrs.KMM: The walls are white now. I thought about brown/ tan but is that ugly? Do you think with the right accents it will look feminine enough?

I think brown/tan walls can be beautiful!
Here are some bedroom examples:

I agree with what the other girls have said, brown / tan colours

I agree that tan would look nice. if you are worried about it coming off as masculine I would go for a softer, sandy shade. Alternatively you could do of soft bluey-grey; that would bring out the blues in the bedspread rather than the browns and would read as a bit “fresher”.
