You’ll be fine with a grey-beige tone. Get a few samples and paint in both areas so you can choose which you like. Our hardwood floors are a similar color to your kitchen cabinets, and our entire house has various shades of grey/greige walls.
Maybe something like these?
If you’re looking for a non-neutral color, blue would look nice!

Worldy grey is a great neutral paint color that adds a little something to the walls. My parents and in laws both chose it for their houses and they haven’t seen each other’s homes!

To make the space more cozy, add pillows and throws to that couch!

I’m a decorative product specialist at Sherwin Williams so this is what I do every day. I would do either agreeable gray or anew gray. It will still be bright, but give you some color and will go with your cabinets. If you wanted to go with white, I would do alabaster. If you want to go more cream, do Creamy or Dover white. If you want beige, go with balanced beige. If you want to go something super light and airy but will go with a lot, do sea salt. A couple of other colors that look white in the store, but are actually a very light gray are gossamer veil and on the rocks.
