I went by personality but I see a lot of people go by height too.  They weren’t paired up for long, just leaving the church.  Not even for head table or pictures.

Some of the weddings I was a Bridesmaid or Best Man in we were paired by height.  One let us pick, so if you knew one of the guys you could walk with him.  I”ve actually walked down as Bridesmaid or Best Man with the same Groomsmen in two weddings, and we were Maid/Matron of Honor & Bridesmaid or Best Man in a third.

Maid/Matron of Honor and Bridesmaid or Best Man go together. One of FI’s GMs is married to one of my BMs. Otherwise they go together by height.

One Groomsmen went on a few dates with one Bridesmaid or Best Man (but it didn’t work out) so I won’t pair them up.

Our bridesmaids and groomsmen will literally be paired up for all of about 2 minutes – to walk back up the aisle after the ceremony and to walk into the reception together, so it isn’t a huge concern for us.

But what we’re doing is basically having our bridal party line up in order of who we feel closest to (though we’re not telling them this!) and their heights happen to match up pretty well.

We paired them by relationships (i.e. my brother will walk with my aunt, my Bridesmaid or Best Man from college with walk with my Groomsmen from college, etc) and they are walking down according to height (tallest first since I’m so short haha).

Mine’s easy! My sister is my Maid/Matron of Honor, my bff is my bm. Mr.TKE’s bff is his Bridesmaid or Best Man, and his friend is his gm. lol, that was a hard decision! Innocent

@GreenEyedMoon: We have the same problem with the married couple.

The girl is the shortest of the BMs and the guy is the tallest of the GMs.

I know splitting them up might cause WWIII though, so I’d never do it!

I would do it by relationship if there’s any connectedness. If no one knows each other, just pick :).

We are lucky and blessed to have both my sisters and their  husbands and both my FSILs and their husbands standing up so they will be walking together.  As for the 3 remaining friends on each side, we will pair them according to height.

Like everyone said walk back down the aisle and entrances is the only time they will be paired.

Two of my BM’s are dating two of our GM’s.  The Maid/Matron of Honor is sweet of our Best Man.  The other two include my FI’s BEST friend and another is a dear friend who will be paired up two girls who are dear friends.  So, unless one of the girl’s doesn’t show up (which is a good possibility), it’ll be interesting, lol.
