What colors do you like?

Done.

Seriously – you’re putting way too much thought into this.  At the end of the day, no one is going to remember a damn thing about your colors.  So pick one or two that you like.

Or pick your favorite and google “colors that go with *favorite color*”.  See a combo you like?  Do it.  Doesn’t matter if it’s trendy or the “it” color or “so 2012”.  Like it?  Use it.  Be done.

After picking the season that we wanted to get married in, colors came next for us. We threw around a couple color combinations and ruled out some colors, for instance, one of the colors at my parents wedding was red and I knew that I didn’t want to use the same one.

Next, I combed through google images and pinterest trying the different color combos we suggested. We’re getting married in the fall, so we threw around orange/green, brown/gold, grey/orange, green/grey, and then googled how they looked together.

Our favorite, easily, was what we discovered to be sage/rust (aka green and orange). I found a photo collage that somebody made that showed how they incorporated sage/rust in their wedding and absolutely loved the colors together.

And that’s the story of how we picked our colors.

Oh, and we knew that photos would be taken outside, so we wanted some colors that complimented the colors of the leaves, too.

My colours are navy, gold, white and blush. I picked a colour pallet that I like. I’m summer 2017. Don’t worry about it just pick what you like. What’s your favourite colour?

Honestly… no!  You’re waaaaaay over thinking this.  What colours do you like?  Run it by your Fiance to make sure he likes the same and is ok and then go with that.  Our colours are gold and purple…. because I like gold and Fiance likes purple.  Really no more thought or effort than that (not in a bad way) don’t drive yourself crazy with this stuff.

Just go on pinterest and pin a bunch of things you like…I’m guessing the color palette will pop out.

Don’t worry, I had trouble with this too.  I ended up not deciding and just choosing things that I like.  The first colour choice was my bridesmaid’s dresses, and we went from there.  Then my groom chose his suit in a burgundy, which is now a flower colour.  Don’t fret!

We are getting married in early March. I couldn’t decide on colors either, so I went with the garden/greenery theme and everything fell into place. Ivory and light pink shades are the main colors being used.

If you don’t have a favorite color or a preference that pops out at you, take a cruise on Pinterest. Type in “wedding color palettes” and go from there! I wouldn’t worry too much about the season – worry about what you like.

I had a really hard time choosing colors as well. I ended up choosing navy & gold for my fall wedding.

I went through multiple colour schemes before ending on eggplant and gold.

Go to Pinterest and search wedding colours for your season. That should help!
