I haven’t worn dressy shoes in so long that I don’t know what ladies do these days. Years ago, a lady wouldn’t dream of going without pantyhose. But… yuck. I hate hose. And it’s going to be hot in July!
On the other hand, when I lift my dress for the garter business or shoe photos, I don’t want my legs to look bare and unattractive. And I don’t want my feet to sweat in my pretty heels.
What to do?

No one wears pantyhose anymore. If you’re worried about sweaty feet, get some of the things you slide into your shoes 🙂

I agree with mwitter – pantyhose are kind of outdated (and good riddance – I can’t wear a pair for an hour without it ripping. Especially if you’re getting married in Texas in late July – go bare-legged. While it won’t have the same va-va-voom as stockings and a garter belt, you’ll be so much more comfortable.

No pantyhose! Very outdated, especially for the younger generation.

I don’t think I even own a pair of pantyhose. I think you’ll be fine with bare legs 🙂

Bare legs. Definitely. No one wears pantyhose anymore.

I am most definitely outnumbered. I think I am just about the only person under 25 that still wears pantyhose. I prefer it because I have spider veins on my left leg that I was born with and they help to disguise it/even out my skin tone. Plus, they are really not all that hot (maybe I’ve just gotten used to them) and the nicer pairs don’t rip as easily.

im all about some cute tights in the winter with a dress (black, colored or even patterned but never nude)- but for under a wedding dress – show those legs off!

You will be very hot with pantyhose in the Texas heat. I got married in TX in Jan. and I was still hot without pantyhose.

This is funny because I always thought pantyhose and stockings were the same thing. Stockings was just an older word. So when you say stockings, do you mean thigh highs?
