Jacqui90:  You need pantyhose becaue you’re planning on wearing a skirt/dress? You can’t just wear suit/dress pants for the interview/work?

I’ve never had a problem with regular pantyhose falling down, although if I get the high waisted kind, they can roll down a bit and leave a weird line (okay, roll) across my stomach. That is easily solved by getting the kind that doesn’t go above the hips for me though. Spanx makes a variety of sheers that are pretty multipurpose, especially if you’re looking for something high waisted.

I get the smaller size but in a bigger/heavier? denier and I find that it stops them falling down but as the fabric is stronger also prevents runs.

I always wear a second pair of knickers over pantyhose as it keeps them up better

Stocking sizes are weird… I’m 5’3 and quite thin, but I have to get the tall size or I can’t even get them past my thighs! So I’d suggest getting the extra tall size and wearing boyshorts over them. If I don’t do that, my stockings have the tendency to come down too. I wouldn’t wear another pair of underwear over my stockings because it’d create a line. With boyshorts/bloomers you don’t have that problem.

But anyway, you don’t necessarily need to wear stockings… I study in a business park and take a lot of trains, but I never see the women wearing stockings. They just wear skirts and dresses with bare legs. And of course, pants are an option…

I cut the waistband on them so they don’t roll down…
