You can. I’m not sure how. My soon to be brother and sister-in-law have one. I actually hope someone doesn’t request one for us. Theirs is huge, maybe 20×30? I don’t want to have to deal with paying for the framing and and finding display space it on my wall. I’m not a fan of displaying religious items. My parents have a much smaller 8×10 one which is a lot nicer in my opinion. It hangs in the hallway on the photo wall.

I think they might come in different sizes. Hard to know though. My parents was obtained in the early 80’s for their 10th Anniversary and my new in-laws was otained a year ago.

You need to be careful with online sites selling "papal blessings."  If you want an actual papal blessing there are two ways.  The easist is to go through your diocese and they will arrange the blessing for you.  You’ll then just get a certificate.

Another thing you can do if you decide to go to Rome say for your honeymoon is purchase Newlywed Papal audience tickets.  Justice of the Peace II would then bless each couple, but it seems sense the election of B16, this practice has been permenantly canceled.

If you are Catholic you can get a Papal Blessing certificate through your diocesan Chancery or through the Vatican’s website. There is a fee for these certificates. If you want to go the "free" route you can send an wedding invitation to the Pope and receive a less ornate keepsake.

Address for invitations:

There are different sizes available!  I’m not sure about ordering them stateside.  I ordered one in Rome personally for my best friends parents after she passed away and her father was also extremely ill.  You could essentially flip through a ton of them, some had the sacred heart of Jesus and the Virgin Mary, others were even more ornate, some were less ornate… Some had different saints or were for different reasons… i.e. blessing the marriage, blessing a sickness, etc.

You just had to tell them which certificate you wanted, the names, verify their standing in the church, provide THEIR home church and priest for further verification, and whatever else was needed.

Thank you for posting this.  I completely forgot about getting a papal blessing.
