so im 11 days out.
weather keeps changing but the forecast has consistently said that it will be over 80 and humid in the hudson valley for my day.
the ceremony is at 630 and sunset is 815. so it wont be the peak of hotness, but if the sun is out, it will still be shining right on my guests during the ceremony and cocktail hour.
should i buy paper fans to keep people cool? or is it late enough that people will be ok?

If it makes you feel better, do it, but I don’t think it’s necessary.
80 isn’t really that hot. Plus, you won’t have the humidity this early in the year in the Hudson Valley. Temps can drop off really fast after the sun sets, too. I think 80 is a perfectly comfortable temperature and wouldn’t worry about it.
Another thing- if the daytime high is 80, it probably will be more like 75 or 70 at that time of the evening.

i am using paper fans as my programs – but mine is also the end of next month and it can get pretty humid here in indy…hopefully not too bad – but we’ll see.

If you’re having programs I wouldn’t worry. If you’re having a short ceremony I wouldn’t worry. If you’re having the reception indoors I wouldn’t worry. Unless you’re making guests stand – I wouldn’t worry.

How many people do you have? I know they sell these fans at Michaels, so if it gets to be a day or two before the wedding and you’re noticing that it’s still hot out at night, you could always run out and pick up whatever they have in stock. But I don’t think you need to.
