I have been working my bum off making paper flowers. I’m super cheapie so for 500 – 600 paper flowers (yes, I realize I’m nuts!) I used $8 worth of card stock paper and then recycled our paper grocery bags. I am so excited with how it’s coming along and wanted to share it with all the diy amazingness on weddingbee I’ve seen while lurking!

oh they’re lovely! I really like it. Though I think you are insane (in a good way) for attempting to do 500 or so! I hope you space them out!

@FrillSeeker: OOOOOOOOOOOoooooo! Very nice!!!!

@Mrs. Panda: Ha, thanks! They are actually all made and hanging out taking up far too much space in my home. I’m an artist at heart so doing the centerpieces was my first thought after getting engaged. =D

@FrillSeeker: wow they’re all done! then I am crazy impressed! I made 200 paper flowers and by the end of that, I *never* wanted to make a paper flower ever again… I can’t imagine doubling or tripling that!

You did a beautiful job! Seriously, I am so impressed. And I love the vases and little sprig of crystal stocking out of the side. I’m sure your wedding will be beautiful!

@FrillSeeker: Wow–$8! I’m so impressed. They look beautiful.

@Mrs. Panda: All my artwork is pretty repetiitive and methodical, I have infinite patience for stuff like this (though not nearly that much in real life, heh).
@MaryRachel: Aw, thanks! I’d be a total liar to say the whole thing was only $8, just the paper. It’ll be about $150 or so for 10-12 centerpieces and bouquets (without vases). I’m still feeling pretty good about that!

@FrillSeeker: A bride after my own heart 🙂 I couldn’t wait to get started on my paper flowers, centerpieces, etc. If it involves endless repetition, I’m in!
Those are lovely. And it is fantastic you used paper kraft bags–recycling is awesome. Your guests will be so impressed.
