I hope someone who has been through this before might have some help, comments and feedback to offer.
Off of this great inspiration I decided to get paper lanterns for the ceiling (at the last minute – wedding in three weeks!):
Paper Lantern Inspiration
I have questions about lighting products though! There are two that I have looked at –
1. Three light battery operated LED – $4.25 per piece (since we’d be getting 60 of them)
2. One-light battery operated LED – $29 per box of 10
Has anyone had experience with either of these?!! We’re using relatively small lanterns – 8" – 12" – and we just want to create a nice glow, not use them for light.
Any help you can provide would be SOOOO greatly appreciated!

I’m trying to figure out the most economical way to do this, myself. There is a tutorial on making LED throwies that would stick to the metal frame of your lanterns here:
You can also get fake tealight candles with LED lights in them for less than what paper lantern store is charging at craft stores and stick them inside the lanterns. I think I will go that route but am trying to figure out the best way to stick them in there.

I thought about this also.. You may want to get the lights and put each one into a clear baggiy.. or a stocking or white mesh or tulle and tye it to the inside of the wire inside the lantern. I hope that helps…
I’m looking to buy used paper lanters for my wedding as well.. Are you looking to sell yours? I’m in FL.

Does anyone know if those glow sticks work well inside the paper lanterns? Maybe if I tied two together? They’re available at Dollar Tree for .99 cents… Thanks !
