My venue will not allow us to hang paper lanterns so I thought, why not use them on the tables as centerpieces? I googled it online but there isn’t alot of idea or pics. I know I would probably need to put river rocks in them or maybe a glass inside with flowers coming out so they don’t roll off the tables. Any pics or ideas on how I could pull this off? We have the standard long buffet tables instead of round. I thought probably 4-6 inch or 8 inch round lanterns on each table. I’m getting married in Kauai and having a caual fun reception at home with vibrant tropical colors. I want more of a luau feel than formal reception. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

You dont necessarily even need to use them to hold flowers. Just run them down the length of the table, add candles ( I would use cylinder vases as candle holders so you don
t have open flames) and scatter flowers or petals.
You can add LED lights inside the lanterns.

I also want a paper lantern centier piece! I want to have sticks and flowers coming out of the hole in the lantern and was having a terrible time trying to fit a vase in there around the wire and get it to stand up straight. Then I saw this SOO simple turotiral…. why didn’t I think of that!
